Sirolimus Tablets 1mg contain the active ingredient sirolimus, which is an immunosuppressant medication. This is also used off-label in liver and heart transplant recipients and in the treatment of certain other conditions, such as certain types of cancer. It is used to prevent rejection in organ transplant recipients and to treat certain other conditions. By blocking mTOR, sirolimus suppresses the immune response and helps prevent rejection of the transplanted organ. Sirolimus Tablets 1mg works by inhibiting the activity of a protein called mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR). This protein plays a critical role in the proliferation of certain immune cells involved in the rejection of transplanted organs.
