Product Description
Gemtide Teriparatide Injection is a medication used in the treatment of osteoporosis. Teriparatide is the recombinant form of human parathyroid hormone, specifically the N-terminal fragment (amino acids 1-34). It contains the active ingredient Teriparatide, which is a synthetic form of parathyroid hormone (PTH). This is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men who are at high risk of fractures. Teriparatide stimulates bone formation by promoting the activity of osteoblasts (cells responsible for bone formation) and increasing bone mineral density. Gemtide Teriparatide Injection is also indicated for the treatment of osteoporosis associated with sustained systemic glucocorticoid therapy in women and men at increased risk for fracture.
